The new mail icon in the tray and indicator on the taskbar icon does clear under some circumstances. I previously identified at least one cause of this bug: When a snoozed email awakens and is returned to the inbox, it is evidently treated as new mail even though it might already be marked as unread. The new mail indicators are thus activated. But nothing, at this point, makes the new mail indicators clear. I can delete the email, mark the entire inbox as read, but the indicators persist. It seems that the only solution is to close eM Client and restart it.
This was not fixed in the final release of v.10 on July 4th (which was removed from the release history for some reason), nor in the July 9th subsequent release. I had posted this here and emailed to [email protected]. I hope this can be addressed soon.
BTW, can we still email [email protected] to reach developers or has this changed now that we are out of beta?
