The little red exclamation box routinely appears in my inbox next to my email address. It goes away immediately after I click on it. How do I set it to check my email more frequently?

you can do this in Tools - Settings - General - General in “Synchronization box” is “Synchronize items every … minutes” - set it to your desired time, but I do not suggest lowering it more than 10 minutes, many public servers has limit to about 10 - 15 minutes.
Also you can use “F5” shortcut to do it manually.

My Sync was set to 10 minutes, but the red triangle keeps appearing next to both accounts. Once they’re there i update manually to make them disappear.
is there something else i ought to try ?
