Multiple TimeZone Calendar Feature Request

anz news on this? i’d love to see that feature, so i don’t have to use google calendar instead. i have clients in different time zones, so this is extremely helpful to set up meetings

Despite @Gary not seeing the value, clearly there is one, given the feedback here as well as this feature being available in major competitors products.

I have the same issue as @JasonT - many people I work with “forget” I am not in the same time zone as them, so I have to do the math when they say “How is 9:00 am next Thursday?”. It’s a lot easier to see my calendar in multiple time zones, minimizing the “human factor” than to manually do the math or straight up ignore their suggestion so I can “just let the computer do what it was designed to do”.

I am quite certain MS and Google would NOT waste time incorporating a feature into their product if there was no demand (and they’re not the only ones with this feature).

Very useful feature when you have to combine different time zones.
It’ll help to avoid mistakes.

Hi Gary,
I appreciate all the effort that goes into making eM Client an excellent email client. And I also appreciate the need to control the development scope and roadmap. If every idea thrown at the wall were accepted, the end product would be so bloated it would not be functional or maintainable. Having said that…

Perhaps I’m late to the table and you already have a solution in the works. If so, then there is probably no need to read what follows. The multiple timezone column display to the left of calendar view is an extremely useful addition for anyone managing multiple time zones while scheduling meetings. While the current single time zone display does schedule meetings and the recipients view the meeting in their time zone, that is not the use case for the multiple time zones’ time display on the left of the calendar. This is not about what time zone the recipient sees the invitation in. It is about what the person creating the invitation being able to quickly visualize the time zone of the intended recipients without having to do the mental math. I worked at a multi-national company for 30 years, so I have first-hand experience in this subject.

The use case being mentioned in this thread is when one is attempting schedule a meeting juggling multiple time zones for multiple people and one needs to choose a time that will be a “best fit” (well…as good as possible). I always hated the 2am meeting with the project team on the other side of the world. Obviously eM Client knows all the time zones, so that is not in question. We mere humans, on the other hand, can only keep so many time zones and DST details in our brains before our mental cup runs over. This manual activity consumes many, many brain cycles and a great deal of time (think about the 1000’s of meetings we create over time). That time and effort could be repurposed for more value-add activities if this feature were added.

Being able to have relevant time zones’ times appear in the left column would be adding a nice, new feature to eM Client. It would automate in eM Client what is today a manual activity outside eM Client and free up user time and effort for other activities. I am satisfied with eM Client (it has potential) and I do not plan to go back to Outlook. I certainly hope this feature is taken into consideration for a future release.

Best regards,
Van

There is now a Sleekplan suggestion where you can vote for that idea.

This is an absolute must have. Unbelievable that such a good email / calendar client does not support this. +1

This is not the same thing. Completely different use case.

What we need to to see the various times a meeting would be (is at) for attendees in different time-zones in the same view.

I.e., if I want to plan a meeting a 11am in Eastern time, I want to know that that is GMT for the people I am going to invite.
