Anyone know the difference between the traditional downloaded version and the version available on the MS Store. I tried downloading the MS Store version yesterday, out of interest, and it started to install quite separately from the installed version, rather than replacing it. I cancelled out in the end.
They both have the same features - Features Overview | eM Client , however the Windows Store version “is not always as up to date” as the webpage version. It has a monthly subscription which you pay to Microsoft directly. No activation license is required.
In my opinion, you are best to download and install eM Client directly from the website download page. Or download directly from the via the release history page anytime. The eM Client website version also does require you to enter your activation code via “Menu / Help / License”.
Lastly If you do want to purchase the program from eM Client directly. this is the link for pricing for the various versions. You have options for either a monthly subscription or a one off payment depending on what you want.
Thanks - I’ve been a user of eM Client for 13 years - I remember sitting in a hotel room in Miami (work-related!) setting it up my laptop.
I’ll continue to use the website download page - I was just interested about the MS Store version.
