The installed client is 9.2.2258 (7080479). Since adding email accounts (9), I have had McAfee messages about blocking unwanted connections of the MailClient.exe application to risky websites (e.g. fitplant.sa.com, mywellness.sa.com, getfittogether.za.com). Scanning (norton, eset) shows nothing and the application tries to connect several times a day. It is not normal.
It may be because you have received a message and eM Client is trying to download linked content from that website specified in the message. You can change the options in Menu > Settings > Mail > Privacy, and disable external content except from named senders.
Or it may be because you have received an email from someone, and eM Client is trying to download their avatar from that domain. You can disable avatars from external sources in Menu > Settings > Contacts.
