Marking emails as read on server

I didn’t get to post my question before saving.  Anyway I read an email with eM on my desktop but it does not mark as read on the server or on my iPhone.  Any idea on how to get it to mark as read…it used to but with my new computer and new install it does not…must just be a setting?  Thanks for your help…Scott

Hello Scott, what mail service are you using with eM Client? Are you using a POP or an IMAP account? Is the message marked as read in eM Client?
Does the message get marked as read if you mark it as read on some of your other devices first? What version of eM Client are you currently using on your computer, can you please check the exact release number in Help > About?
