I am using version 8. I have right-clicked a couple folders and selected ‘Add to Favorites.’ When they were initially added they showed the counts of unread messages as the actual folders did. However, as messages are read and/or new mail arrives, they do not update their counts. The actual folders do seem to update their counts, though.
