Lost Contacts Following Update

The application was updated this past weekend (Jan 20-21/2024) and now all the contacts have disappeared.
When composing an email and typing the beginning of an email address into the “To” box, the contacts will auto-populate as though the address book still exists.
Where did they go?
The same account on a different computer went through the update as well, but the contacts have not changed.
Help!

When you upgraded, all the local data should have been there.

But if it isn’t, then there is a way to retrieve selected data from the backup:

1./ Disconnect the computer from the Internet. This is important!

2./ Make a backup using Menu > Backup, so you can come back to the current database later.

3./ Restore the old backup that has the data you want to retrieve.

4/ Export the Local Folder data you need.

5./ Restore the backup made in step 2.

6./ Reconnect to the Internet.

7./ Import the data from step 4.
