emails have just started disappearing from my inbox. I am connected to gmail and my version is 7.1.30794.0
Are you in the Inbox, or the Unread folder?
Can you still see the emails in the web interface for GMail? If you can do they have labels?
I cannot see them in gmail either. I have looked in the trash and all of my folders and they just seem to heve vanished
Did you look in All Mail on GMail?
How about your Junk folder?
Do you have Automatic Archiving turned on?
Menu > Tools > Settings > Mail > Automatic Archiving
