Local Contacts not syching with Gmail contacts

The contacts that are in my EMC “Local Folders” contacts are not synching with my Gmail contacts. I want all contact to synchronize – EMC <> Gmail <> Android phone. How do I make this happen?

Please provide step-by-step instructions.

IMAP is enabled in my Gmail setup.

Items in Local Folders don’t sync. They are on that device only - so “local”.

If you want the contacts to sync with your Google account, you will need to move them from Local Folders, to the Gmail My Contacts folder.
