I have upgraded a laptop to Windows 10 and have reinstalled eMclient on it. The free licence ran out July this year so have reapplied for a new one which I have received. However when I try to activate it I get the Unable to connect to remote server message.
I have turned off any firewall/antivirus software and still can’t connect ?
I have uninstalled/reinstalled eMclient several times but nothing will work.
could you please take screenshot of the error that pops up when you try to activate your license?
Also, eM Client’s licenses do not run out, they are renewed automatically. Do you get the same error when you try to activate eM Client with your old key?
I have replied via email.
Ok so I decided to do some digging and turned on eMclient Network connections logging, and found this error " No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:8118" It appears that the default setting for Windows 10 for Proxy Server is “Use a proxy server 127.0.0.1:8118”. unchecked that and eMclient can now activate the licence. Thanks for your help.
I’m glad the problem was resolved, thank you for letting us know about your solution.
