Layout of folders

I moved a client from WLM to emClient, paid for, but he is struggling with the layout compared to WLM. I keep telling him that he has to accept it will never look like WLM and that he needs to learn how to become comfortable with emClient. I have been over to him twice going through the same thing but he is struggling. There are a couple of things that bug him and this is the first of two posts

He is not happy with the way that folders are displayed.
On the left-hand side of the folder list, he complains that so much space wasted and that there is an extra line that separates each different folder name

A bit like

Folder1

Folder 2

rather than

Folder1 1
Folder 2

Is there a way to get rid of that additional spacing?

Also, he hates the fact that there is a folder icon.
He says “Why do they need a folder icon when we know already it is a folder”
Is there a way to get rid of that

I have to admit I do not disagree with him

Or you can even use ctrl + mousewheel (with mouse cursor above the folder list) to achieve that easily and quickly.
