Latest EMClient will neither import or restore data from old computer’s backup folder. It says: “no backup data in the folder”.

You can go under: -> Settings -> General -> Backup select the place and time of creation. Also how many backups should be kept.
Under the tab: File -> Backup - there you can go to Backup, then you will be asked if you want to create one now. Then press yes.
Below: > Settings -> General -> Backup you will see that you have just created a backup.
eM Client backups are saved by default in an eM Client folder in your Documents. They will be zip files with a filename that is backup_date.zip. So make sure you have copied the correct files from the old computer. You can copy them to the same location on the new one, then eM Client will know where to find them. Don’t unzip the files, just save them in that directory. If there are more than one, you will be given a choice of which to restore.
You cannot import from a backup, only restore. That will replace everything in your current database with what is in the backup.
