Hi… it seems that I am unable to set the option to leave meesages on the server… and I do not have them there as a backup now that I am using eM Client. Where is the setting to ensure I keep my messages on the server until I go and delete them? I like the program otherwise and am thinking of upgrading if this can be resolved. Thanks.

if you do not have the option for leaving messages on the server I assume you are using IMAP protocol. In that case, all your messages remain on the server until you delete them.
