Keep getting this error OneDrive\Documents\eM Client’ is denied

If this is related to your eM Client backup location or Cloud file attachments, go online to your OneDrive account and “see if you can manually create and delete a folder” in eM Client within OneDrive.

If you can create a folder and delete a folder in there, suggest then to “copy any files in that folder to another temporary OneDrive folder” and then “delete the eM Client folder and recreate it”.

Then move your files that were in there previously back and see if that fixes it as could have possibly been a OneDrive read / write glitch with that folder.

Now If you carnt create or delete a folder in the OneDrive\eM Client directory, then you need to check your folder permissions “that you have read / write access” as that could have been removed.

Is this error related to your storage location? I would strongly recommend relocating the eM Client Database to a local folder on your device, if that is the case.
Cloud storages often deny access to the files while synchronizing which can damage the database or block eM Client from accessing it. In order to work correctly, eM Client needs to be able to access its database.

Keep getting this error and it seems to be a problem with one drive.

‘C:\Users\wjw143\OneDrive\Documents\eM Client’ is denied.

Is there anything in that folder ?

Did you create that for eM Client Cloud file attachments ?

Or did you create that folder for your eM Client Storage database location ?

Or did you create that folder for your eM Client backups ?

Need more information.

Yes I have documents in there.

Can you “create and delete folders” in that
OneDrive\Documents\eM Client directory ?

If you carnt create and delete folders in your OneDrive\Documents\eM Client directory, then “check your folder permissions that you have read / write access on the eM Client folder” as could be they have been removed for unknown reasons.

To check folder permissions in Windows,”right-click the folder”, select Properties, and go to the Security tab to see user access levels.

To check folder permissions on a Mac, “right-click the folder in Finder”, and select Get Info, and expand the Sharing & Permissions section at the bottom.

If you can create a folder and delete a folder in the OneDrive\Documents\eM Client directory, then as I advised previously further up this thread to “copy any files in that folder to another temporary OneDrive folder” and then “delete the eM Client folder and recreate it”.

Then move your files that were in there previously back and see if that fixes it as could have possibly been a OneDrive read / write glitch with that folder
