Junk emails are getting cleared automatically though set not to!

I am on Mac OS Monterey 12.7 & using eM Client version 9.2.2144

In “preferences → General → Delete spam on exit older than 30 days” option is unchecked but still junk emails older than 30 days are getting cleared!

Seems this is a bug and I don’t want junk emails to be cleared automatically how this can be done? Thanks.

Check with your email provider. Most empty the spam folder after 30 days.

i use icloud so can you please confirm is it apple doing this? Thanks

You will need to ask them, but as I said, most email providers empty it after some time. Maybe they have a setting to change that in their web interface.

ok let me check with them, as far as i know web interface of icloud has no specific settings related to junk email handling but anyhow let me recheck again.
