Issue with outgoing emails – SMTP connection error

Good morning,

Today we encountered a problem with outgoing messages on two of our mailboxes. Messages were not being delivered, so I removed the email account from the eM Client application and added it again. Unfortunately, both with automatic and manual configuration, an SMTP connection error appears, even though I can send messages directly from the webmail account.

The issue only started today. The email addresses are provided by ovhcloud.com.

How can we resolve this problem?

As the problem only started today it could be a temporary issue and the
fact that you can use Webmail suggests this could be the case.
You should contact overcloud to check.

If it suddenly just stopped sending and removing and readding your account made no difference then yes agree with @skybat that it could be a SMTP server problem. So check with your mail server technical support incase there is an issue.

If not try putting in either of the following SMTP strings in the diagnostic tab via the thread links below to see if it makes any difference as some OVH Servers need as per @gary and @Phil_LP posts below.
