I have several backups of my em-client email. is there a way to update or merge all the backups? I can import a single backup but want to combine all of them to a updated file.

I’m afraid that is not possible, as each backup saves the current state of the application - the database and settings etc. Merging them would not accomplish much, as you would always have to replace files from one backup with another.
