Import Error: Unable to read beyond the end of the stream.

While trying to import email/contacts/folders/etc from a Outlook 2007 pst into a data emdf file on a new install of eMClient on Windows 11, I receive the following error…

Error when preparing import: Unable to read beyond the end of the stream.

I’ve tried twice. It runs for a while and some things are imported but it eventually fails. The pst file is about 9GB in size.

Anyone else see this? I’ll try to run a ScanPST on the pst file later but I would appreciate any feedback/assist anyone can offer. Thanks.

What version of eM Client is this ?

Version: 9.2.2307 (c0b94dc)
It also seems like there is no way to import to a data file and then later merge more into that file with a second import. I was able to complete a partial import without receiving the error but I can’t subsequently add more imported data after the fact to fill in the gaps.
I also performed a PST repair with ScanPST and while it said errors were corrected, the eMClient stream error still persists when trying to include the Sent Items and Deleted Items in the import.

It also seems like there is no way to import to a data file and then later merge more into that file with a second import.

You could maybe then look at eg: upgrading to eM Client V10, where you can create / mount a second data file and then import more.pst mail into that file. Then drag / move / merge that mail into the first data file.

Upgrading to V10 might also fix the Unable to read beyond the end of the stream error on import.

OK, It’s been a busy few days. I got mixed up. I’ve been running v9 for years on MY WORKSTATION. The computer I was doing the import on was a client PC I just rebuilt and it was running the current version 10 that I just downloaded and installed. D’Oh! Sorry about that. Too many irons in the fire!
