IMAP Connection Problem

Since booting up this morning I’ve not been able to access new email both hotmail and gmail:

[IMAP] An attempt to connect to *****@ failed. This could be caused by temporary server unavailabilty or incorrect settings…

(same error message re gmail).

Settings haven’t been changed and the calendar is still connecting and both uploading and downloading new appointments successfully.  I’m also able to access hotmail/gmail using my web browser.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled latest version (and previous version) of emClient but problem persists.

Any suggestions?

It appears that my anti-virus software is blocking the email.  I’ve been using emClient and the same Antivirus software for years and this has never happened before.  When I turn the shields off and refresh/resync it works.  Have tried to set up an “exception” within the antivirus software but still blocking when shields on…

This will happen occasionally when you upgrade your AV software.  You may have to check with them.
