iCloud scrambled e-mails, fixed, now search not working

I encountered an issue with iCloud. Some of my emails appeared scrambled within certain subfolders in em-client, while they were fortunately fine in the cloud. To resolve this, I took the following steps:

  1. I disconnected my iCloud account.
  2. Uninstalled em-client.
  3. Reinstalled em-client.
  4. Reconnected my iCloud account.

This fixed the problem with scrambled emails. However, a new issue emerged. em-client no longer downloads all content, including attachments, from iCloud and the search function in em-client became ineffective. To find something, I have to check my iPhone first and then manually locate the email in em-client.

Here are the settings I configured (German to English translations):

  1. In the sync options, I selected “since ever” and enabled “Download Messages for Offline Search” as well as “Download Attachments for Search.”

  2. When I enter a search term, a message appears above the search results stating “Incomplete Search Results.” Clicking on this message provides three options:

a. Download all messages always.
b. Download all messages now.
c. Don’t show this warning again.

Selecting option a. does not resolve the issue. Do you have any suggestions or ideas?

I also want to take a moment to express my gratitude to Gary for his ongoing support!

Apologies for bringing this up again, but does anyone (Gary) have any ideas?
em client does loose quite some practicality for me without the search.
Thank you!

Gary, any ideas? Apologies for repeatedly asking, but I believe the best chance to get your attention is when the topic is hot, meaning at the top of the list. Even if you do not know what the problem or fix could be, I would appreciate a quick idea for a path forward.
