I used to be able to load my iCloud Contacts via my Apple account - but now that no longer authenticates … hmmm … any suggestions?

this might be Apple’s side problem, I am having these problems also even with syncing to Hotmail account and Android mail client…
please try to reset your password as Apple has serious issues with login these days and write here back if it helped.
