I just installed em Client a few weeks ago and am having issues to download POP3 emails fromHughes.net. It may be due to the latency of the satelite connection I am using. Is there any way to give it more time to make the connection?
The timeout window is 30 seconds, which we found was sufficient for almost all use cases. Unfortunately there is no way to raise the limit at the moment, but we might look into it in future releases.
Thanks for the reply. In frustration I had changed the POP3 setting to ‘Use SSL?TLS on special port (legacy)’ and it has been working better since. Again, thanks.
Legacy didn’t work for me. POP3 worked one year, then one day downloads got error message. Same settings required by host. Haven’t found any good answers on line searched for days. Em client totally not helpful unless pay $50 and I don’t need more than 2 accounts.
