I can't pass the file from explorer to em client 7

Hello,

I use Windows 10/64 Bit Home Edition. When I want to send a file from Explorer (WIN+E) to em client 7.0, it’s not work. I click on any file with right mouse button than sent by mail!
But WIN report me, the mail software is not installed, but in standard apps em client is already selected as standard. What’s wrong?

Thanks and Best regards
Wuffi

Hello Wuffi,

We’re sorry you’re experiencing this issue. Could you please check that the program is set as default in Control Panel -> Programs -> Default Programs -> Set your default programs? Windows’ Default Apps is sometimes not completely reliable.
If this doesn’t help, could you please try installing the .NET 3.5 framework from Microsoft (accessible here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=21))?
Let us know how it went.

Regards,
Maurice

Dear Maurice,

many thanks from Germany, em Client was already default App, but still not worked. So I installed Framework 3.5 - now it’s work. Great!

But the em client is still very slow :-(, like I have analog AOL connection. It take long time until attached files are downloaded or pictures / html documents are finish to download. I have appr. 25.000 mbit/s, another mail client is very fast.

I hope you can help me here too, thanks!

Kind Regards
Wuffi

Hello Wuffi,

We’re glad to hear this issue has been solved.

As for your other question, we would recommend downloading the messages for offline use. The synchronization on start up will take longer but afterwards the messages should be displayed immediately. You can turn this on by going to Menu -> Tools -> Accounts, select the relevant account, go to the IMAP tab and select ‘Download messages for offline use’.

Regards,
Maurice

Seem works and faster now, thanks for your help!

Wuffi
