Hi Martin, do you have the two step verification option enabled on your gmail account? If you do, please make sure to setup your account with eM Client by using the app specific password that you have ti generate for eM Client in your google account settings.
If you’re not using the more secure option on how to authenticate with eM Client, you may have to enable this option to authenticate using your regular web access password in eM Client, https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps . Make sure to enable this option and check if the issue persists if you’re not using the two step authentication.
