I cannot access any/all email. It says I need to open an account. Been with eM since 2010. Help!

have you perhaps recently upgraded to eM Client 7 from version 6?
If so, please make sure to import your data through Menu>File>Import…>Application: eM Client 6.

Tried that just now. It says “The selected file does not contain EM Client files or the files were created with too old a version”

Did you change your database location? Did you install the new version of eM Client on the same device as you previously used version 6?
Try importing from the default database location - C:\Users_%windows user account%_\AppData\Roaming\eM Client
