I am receiving mail but unable to send-

Hi, I have noticed a few problems similar to this one but no solution seems to be posted. My problem is the same, I can receive but unable to send email.

Error Log shows an SMTP failure.
This is the error log:

16:16:03 [email protected] [SMTP] Connecting: To [email protected]
16:16:24 [email protected] [SMTP] MailExceptions.SocketException: Connect failed with reason:
16:16:24 “A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 217.70.184.1:25”
16:16:24 at MailClient.Smtp.SmtpSendCommand.Connect(WorkerStatus status)
16:16:24 at MailClient.Smtp.SmtpSendCommand.Execute(WorkerStatus status)
16:16:24 at MailClient.Commands.Command.Process(WorkerStatus status)

Some responses have advised it’s the wrong password, it is not in this case. I really like this email client, I hope this is fixable and I can start to use it.

do you use any anti-virus or a firewall? Try to disable it for a while and let me know if it helps.

I do have both.
Actually I uninstalled the program, I then re-installed it then automatically populated the SMTP and other fields something which it did not do before. It is now sending and receiving and the problem seems to have been resolved.
