Untrue, it just blocks the annoying update traffic. I’ve successfully executed the fix I provided, and my EMClient has been working perfectly for three months since fix was applied.
Best part, I never have to see that persistent annoying ‘UPDATE NOW YEAH!!??!’ notificaton again
