How to turn chat off

I don’t want to use eM for chat… how do I disable it or turn it off? Thanks!

Hi,

If your account does have a chat service enabled then go to Tools - Accounts - Your account - Chat tab and uncheck “Enable service”.

If you just want to make chat button disappear then right click on “Chat” and uncheck it.

Note in the latest version the old “Chat” is now called “XMPP”

Uncheck it and you’ll turn Chat off.
