I stopped using my gmail (IMAP) account, but I want to keep all my emails. I changed the password and ports, but emClient still tries to connect. Please, how do I set the account so that it does not syncronize.

Is it the only account you have? Switch off the following two settings:

If you have other accounts, try turning this off in the gmail account settings:
