How to Move thru contacts - left or right

When I have opened a contact window and then want to scroll to the next contact left or right is there a key stroke to do this?

I have only been able to use the up & down / left & right arrows to move through the contacts when in the main “People, Business Card or Phone list” views. Once you have actually opened a contact, you normally have to close it to then go to the next contact.
