How to keep the coulour when replying within the original mail

Hello!

Sometimes, I would likte to reply to an mail by directly writing my answer inside the prevoius mail / in between the lines.
To make my reply clear compared to the original mail text, I use a different colour (e.g. red).

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consetetur sadipscing elitr, sed diam nonumy eirmod
This is my reply - red colour
tempor invidunt ut labore et dolore magna aliquyam erat, sed diam voluptua.

So I select red as font colour, but whenever I start to write a new line it switches back to the default colour. Is there any chance I could keep the font colour for the whole reply so I don’t have to manually choose it again and again?

Your support is appreciated!

Well, you’re editing the original sender’s text so it will keep whatever font attributes they used.

What you need to do is first click where you want to edit, then change the text colour and begin typing. As soon as you click somewhere else in the quoted text, it will again assume the text formatting for the original text in that area.
