How to have the same folder/label structure in eM client and Gmail interface? I keep seeing folders like IMAP\foldername then GMAIL\foldername then INBOX\foldername and Inbox\Foldername. I am just making the transition from POP3 to IMAP. What I would like is to have a series of nested folders in eM client like Inbox\Folder\SubFolder then have the same structure displayed as labels in Gmail. I am getting duplicates, etc! Any advice much appreciated!
Hello,
can you please send me a screenshot of the folder structure in Gmail and in eM Client? You can also attach your IMAP log - it would tell us more.
George - Thanks for your offer to support me on this, but really it was just the need for me to get used to IMAP vs POP3. It works fine now!
One tip: everything appears to be case sensitive, and if you create folders/labels on the client site, they will look slightly different than when you create them on the Google side. So, the way I handled it was just clear all the labels from Google that I don’t need, then just created them all from the client.
works great! thanks, Dave
I am glad it works!
