How to display folder in list of email

I have a lot of folders in which my emails are organized. Obviously, when I click on a folder, I know what folder I’m looking at, but when I do a search I get a list of results from various folders. That’s great, but I’d also like to know which folder a particular message is in.

The message list is by default in the compact view. If you stretch the right border, so making it wider, when it passes 600 pixels (usually the right border will then be somewhere in the middle of your screen) it will change to the simplified view. You can also change the width at which that changes in Menu > Settings > Mail > Read > Message List. [image] It is not ideal, but could work in some situations. @gary talks about adding the Folder column. That was the first thing I tried, but there is no Folder option on my column chooser.

I guess that I neglected to mention that you need to disable conversations (Menu > View > Conversations > Disable conversations).

Thanks @gary. Makes sense since a conversation will normally involve messages from multiple folders. Working now.
