The text editor for email messages appears to give me control over font style and size, but it appears to be using straight (or dumb) quotation marks and apostrophes, instead of the appropriate “smart” or curved marks. (And this web interface just used dumb quotation marks around the word smart, in the previous sentence.)
Is there a way to change out of this default choice, as there is Word and many other word processing programs?
