For avoiding mismatchs, I want to start two eM Client windows, one for my private and one for my business account.

The option for multiple instances is not meant for multiple databases, simply it offers you the option to open two instances of the same database.
But if you want to specify a different database at startup, use the /dblocation PATH option.
You will find some information on this if you go to the Help File by pressing F1 on your keyboard, look for the Advanced Reading > Startup parameters.
