It would be useful to be able to set event reminders for, say, 1 week out, but it appears the maximum is set at 2 days. Is there a way to set the reminder for an extended period?

we are sorry, there’s no way to increase it more in calendar presently. We will think about expanding it.
However you can create task with any reminder date in your tasks tab.
