I have turned on Apple’s two step verification to increase the security of my apple id account. This immediately resulted in an eM Client error message saying ‘server says unauthorized’. Any ideas of how to resolve this would be gratefully received.

did this happen when you tried to set up a new account or did this happen to your existing account?
If its the latter you might have to re-add your account anew as to authorize eM Client to use your apple mail.

Thank you for your reply.
It happened with my existing account. I’ve tried re-adding my apple account and it resulted in the same errors:
Server says unauthorized
Then:
[IMAP] An attempt to connect to [email protected] failed
Please advise what I should try next.

I consulted our developers and it seems you will have to set up an app-specific password to allow eM Client to access your account.
