How do I upgrade from V7.2.40748 to latest Version 8

Hello eM Client developers,

I am trying to upgrade V7.2.40748 to latest Version 8 without losing my emails, settings and data.
I click Menu=>Help=>Check for Upgrade
and the popup says “No Available Update” There is no update available.

How am I supposed to do this correctly. I previously tried uninstalling V7 and then installing the latest
version 8 but version 8 would not import or load my version 7 data.

Please explain what I am doing wrong.
