How do I run eM from D: or E: disc?

I want to save space on the C: disc and want to run eM from D: or E: disc. As well as moving all email storage over to the E: disc.

Hi Martin,

It’s better to keep eM Client on the C: drive.

However, you can specify that the data should be saved on your D: or E: drive.

tools > settings > general > storage

Ok thanks. The storage I’ve been able to move. But I also want to move the app from C: to E: or D:

The reason is that several newly released Win 8.1 tablets, e.g. some Asus and Acer models, have very small C: discs, e.g. 32 GByte. Therefore I run almost everything from the D: or E: drives. In the Asus T100 Transformer for instance, the main disc E: is in the detachable keyboard and the D: is the SSD.

Hi again Martin, to install the application in a selected folder you have to use this command in “Run” or in your command line:

msiexec /i setup.msi MAILCLIENTINSTALLLOCATION=

Hope this helps,
Paul.

Excellent thanks. This worked. / Martin

Glad it works, please make sure to let us know if you come across any other issues or questions, we’ll be happy to help.

Thank you,
Paul.
