How do i change my pop3 into imap within emclient. I already have created imap in gmail.

Unable to sync calendar with pop3 and wish to change emclient configuration to imap (have already configured gmail to imap) how do i do this. Thanks in advance

Hi, if you want to setup your gmail account as an IMAP account, simply navigate to Tools > Accounts > New account, and use the automatic setup using your email credentials (your email address and password).

eM Client should automatically setup your account as IMAP.

Hi Paul, Thanks for your comments. Do I delete the POP3 account first or just leave it? Also I notice that I have to “access the web interface” first to enable calendar sync with google. How do I do this? Thanks again.

As mentioned in the message thrown by the server navigate to the calendar web access, on http://calendar.google.com/ login using your account credentials and the calendar should be enabled.

Note that POP3 accounts download all messages locally, before you delete the account make sure all data you need are available on the server as well. If you’re only using one account at the moment you can setup the IMAP account and have the accounts simultaneously active.

Once you’re sure you won’t lose any data by removing one of the accounts, you can remove the account from eM Client from the Account settings.
