How do I add the "from" account when writing an e-mail?

I have added my email account and all old emails have been imported. When I try to sent an email though, I cannot select a “from” account. I can press the button, but nothing happens. The message that appears says there is no account setting.
How and where can I add this? Thanks in advance!

Do you have an ‘SMTP’ tab in your e-mail account settings?

Hi Elizabeth, this would point out to a missing SMTP service setup in eM Client, if you’ve used the automatic setup to setup the account the autodiscover feature on your server may not include an SMTP setup.

Please navigate to Tools > Accounts > New account and instead if using the automatic setup, please switch to the Mail tab below and select ‘Other’, proceed with the steps and setup your account using your recommended mail server settings.
