How can I stop eM Client from searching for encryption

Hello,

Can anyone tell me how to stop my eM Client from searching for encryption certificates and keys?

I just cannot find where to turn that off.

If you are using eM Client for Windows, suggest to go to “Menu / Settings” and click the (Signing and Encryption) menu partway down and see if there are any “Certificates or Keys in there”.

That’s was one of the first thing I did and nope there aren’t any at all.

For what it’s worth I’m using the free version.

Any other suggestions?

I know there is a way as I did it a very long time ago with an earlier version but cannot find how to stop eM Client this time on the latest version.

From memory this is enabled during account setup and I don’t think it can be edited.
If I’m correct delete the particular account and set up without enabling encryption

I’ve tried it again and uninstalled and re-installed; however, there was no opportunity to turn encryption off during setup!

I am now using Version 8.2.1473 (04b618f) can anyone offer another suggestion?

I do not know why you do not have the ‘encryption’ option.
I have just tested both Automatic & Manual setup and the encryption option is
available with both.
The only difference is that I am using the latest ver 8.2.1509.0

You have been very helpful. I could not find your version and could only find version the version I had. HOWEVER, the one thing I had not done previously was to delete the data base. I decided to do that this time around and I also allowed the exe file I downloaded to delete my current eM Client. Not sure if all of that helped but it seems that it worked!
