How can I set alarms/reminders on my calendar that aren't listed as events.

Just trying to be able to set reminders for myself that will show up on my calendar at specific dates and times, but not scheduled as an event that actually takes up time. 

Hello Ryan, unfortunately it is not possible to simply put up a reminder somewhere into your calendar, you either need to setup a Task or a Calendar event with the setup reminder. Tasks are probably more convenient for a simple reminder, and can be displayed below your calendar or the sidebar to keep track of the upcoming tasks all the time.
