If you are using conversations in all views, you can delete individual messages by right-clicking a message in the reading pane and select delete. You can’t delete from the message list, as conversations are grouped together on one line.
Also, you can go to menu/tools/settings/mail/read and select “Show conversations in message detail only” and conversations in the message list will no longer be grouped on one line, but they will still be grouped in the reading pane. Then, you can delete individual messages from the message list.
