How can I delete a hyperlink in message composer?

If I copy a text out from a document or web into the html composer and the text contains hyperlinks the link will be active.

How can I delete the link? (not the text just the link)

With Thunderbird it was simple “Format” --> “delete all hyperlinks” and it worked for the marked text.

Looks like it either a bug or the feature never existed. I can’t even do this manually.
