Hotmail account no more showing in the sending account list

I am using the free version with only two accounts to send/receive emails.

When I try to send an email, the Hotmail account is not in the list. In fact, now, there is only one choice, my other account. I tried to remove the Hotmail account and setup it up again, still not present. I restarted the software, still not. I change my default account to be the Hotmail’s one and… when opening the new mail window I get “No account” and the list contains my default account which I can select. The SMTP checkbox is checked in both accounts.

I am not sending email frequently from that account, so I don’t know exactly when it stopped working, but I did not changed my configuration for years : not counting the recreation of the account today. So maybe an update screwed up things? I thought maybe the rule of two accounts was partially changed allowing only 1 sending account, but clearily not when choosing Hotmail as default.

Any idea what is going wrong or have changed?

Sounds like AirSync is not enabled.

Go to “Menu / Accounts” and click on the “General Tab” of your Hotmail account.

Then go down to “Services” near the bottom, and make sure“AirSync” is still enabled. If it’s not, enable it and then save accounts and try again.

Example MS Outlook.com account

That was it. Thank you!

For me, that did not work… Airsync is enabled. Have tried disabling and re-enabling.
I can receive but I cannot send hotmail emails :worried:
