High Power usage

Anyone else witnesses a high power usage of eM Client lately? Since a few days my laptop (MS Surface Laptop Studio 2) runs quite warm and the vent is working overtime. And then always eM Client is on the top of Task Manager with Power usage on Very High. Quiting eM Client results in a silent vent and cool down of the laptop.

It takes a while for this to happen. Not directly after starting eM Client, but after quite a while (hours).

How much memory usage is eM Client using ?

Also click the dropdown on the right of Refresh and click Show Operations and see if eM Client is doing anything.

Thanks @cyberzork for your response.

Took a while to get a more generic result. But it seems that every time this happens, the eM Client (32 bit) process uses about 400 - 500 MB and Operations is showing a Synchronizing action with one of my Exchange Web Servcice folders

Yes mine can get up to eg: 580mb when it’s checking / synching mail and then drops down to average 420mb idle which is not an issue for me.

Indeed. The memory usage is not a problem. But the energy usage is. The battery drain is huge and the laptop gets very hot when this happens. Especially when the charger is connected. Also, it can take many hours before the processes finally finishes (even on high-speed internet). I now make it a habit to quit eM Client and restart, but that gets annoying after a while and interrupts the workflow

I would then suggest to contact your computer hardware technical support then to see if there is any adjustment you can do in the computer bios.

Haha. Yes that will work. “Hallo computer technician, I have this computer with a niche email client running on it that every few hours gets stuck on syncing with my Exchange server while using all the power the laptop can deliver so it gets hot and the battery drains quickly. Can you help please?”
“Of course, here I removed the email client and installed Outlook for you. No more problems now. Have a nice day”

What a joke
