an update to em came on my screen. i clicked ok. now i cannot connect to em client. it says client is not properly installed

I have a similiar issue…immediately after updating and restarting eM Client froze in the connecting phase. Nothing would get it to close except for a hard kill of the computer…not good! I had a backup image from a few days prior to the update and restored to that and it works fine…I will wait to see what bugs are found before updating again.

does your problem persist? If so, we would appreciate your cooperation. Please run the tool available from… after the freeze happens. It should generate a log file (starting with “eM Client Stack” in your Documents folder) that will help us analyze the problem in more detail. Please send this file to me:

Thanks George,

I did run the stack dump tool after updating…and while it did create a text file, it was blank. Also, the top of the User Interface was missing, so I could not access any of the software controls to get any other information. If there was a way to install the beta as a separate program, I could set it up and later import my contacts to it that might be a solution.
