Hard drive failure


I had a HD failure however I was archiving my emails on a external HD. I am unable to restore the emails. Any suggestions?


Not sure if I understand your situation.

Were you backing up eM Client to an external disk?

Or were you archiving, and how were you archiving?

I was archiving to the external drive. Can I restore from that?

Archiving and backup are not the same thing.

In eM Client, archives are not created on another drive, they are part of the database. How were you archiving?

I just used the feature in em client automatic archiving. Can I restore from that?

No, Automatic Archiving just moves the messages to a separate folder within the same database.

Unless you have used eM Client’s backup feature, you will have nothing to restore.
